"Quality of members has begat more earnest members. They are out there waiting to be asked, waiting to join, waiting for the storied KCOT experience."
- Lawn Griffiths
KCOT has a history, a heritage, a reputation, an incredible legacy. Able to attract leading Tempeans, especially professionals, educators, public servants and business people. Membership in KCOT fulfills an intrinsic need for fellowship with citizens and community leaders who are dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. The Club has been a respected force for good in the community for over sixty years. From the beginning, the Kiwanis Club of Tempe launched projects and took ownership of them - most notably the Tempe July 4th Fireworks Show, since 1952; and the Fantasy of Lights Parade, since 1995. While membership in KCOT offers an opportunity for meeting other professionals and prominent members of the community, our unifying passion is Community Service. At the same time, we have a lot of fun every Thursday at our lunch meetings.
Corporations that are committed to social responsibility, good citizenship, and helping those whom are disadvantaged are welcome to join KCOT as members. Affiliation with the Kiwanis Club of Tempe is ideal for companies that are dedicated to the belief that our world is improved by helping one child and one community at a time. With a corporate membership, large organizations can designate an employee to represent the company within the Club and community. Designated members can participate in all Club activities, meetings and events. If the designated member leaves or is relocated for work, then the company can fill the open seat without having to pay new member fees. The transition is made easy, and the company can continue to represent their interests in the Club and within the Tempe community.
For more information regarding the mutual benefits of KCOT membership, please contact us with any questions you may have. We look forward to hearing from you!
